Since 2001, International Community Arts Festival (ICAF) has been creating space for reflection, connection and the growth of the global community arts movement, with a triennial festival based in Rotterdam. In 2021, ICAF launched a virtual Hub in Singapore with Drama Box, in the midst of the pandemic. As Drama Box celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, we're excited to see Hub Singapore take shape in real life, and gather community arts practitioners from different parts of the world.
"The Gathering" is an invitation to discover the diverse ways that practitioners are working within different cultural, geographical and political contexts.
With the objective of spotlighting practices from the Asia Pacific region and beyond, we are proud to feature artists from Japan, Australia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the Netherlands, UK and of course, Singapore.
